Novel WiMAX book, approved by John Wiley & Sons
"WiMAX Evolution: Emerging Technologies and Applications" Wiley approved a novel book on WiMAX entitled "WiMAX Evolution: Emerging Technologies and Applications" edited by M. Katz and F. Fitzek. acticom's engineers are contributing two chapters on "Integrating Robust Header Compression Technology into WiMAX" and "WiMAX Security Solution". The integration of the acticom RoHC solution in WiMAX networks has been shown in a collaborative work with VTT, Finland. Currently those results are evaluated and prepared for publication in the upcoming book and white papers.

About Dr. Frank Fitzek
Frank Fitzek received a Dipl.-Ing. degree in electrical engineering from RWTH Aachen in 1997, and a Ph.D., also in electrical engineering, from the Technical University Berlin (TUB) in 2002. In 1999 he co-founded acticom and is currently also a professor at Aalborg University, Denmark, acting as the Head of Future Vision. He became Nokia Champion, published more than 200 well known papers, books, and journals about wireless telecommunication networks, and is responsible for research and innovation at acticom.

RoHC: Robust Header Compression (RoHC), standardized in RFC 3095, is a technology to compress the IP/UDP/RTP protocol header information down to a minimum while remaining robust against errors.
